Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 8, 2026
Browser Boxing is a live multiplayer browser game that uses account authentication, guest sessions, cookies, and WebSocket connections to power matchmaking and authoritative boxing matches. This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you use the Service.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Browser Boxing ("Browser Boxing," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you access or use our browser-based boxing game, website, matchmaking services, and related features (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information created through your use of the Service, and limited technical information required to operate and secure multiplayer gameplay.
- Account information, such as username, password, and optional display name, when you register for an account.
- Guest session identifiers generated to let non-registered players enter the Service and participate in live matchmaking.
- Gameplay and matchmaking data, including selected boxer, queue status, match participation, match inputs, match results, reconnect events, and related gameplay telemetry.
- Authentication and session data, including session identifiers stored in cookies and records needed to validate signed-in users.
- Technical and device information, such as IP address, browser or device type, basic diagnostic data, and server logs generated when you load pages or open a WebSocket connection.
- Profile and account management submissions, such as password changes, display name updates, and account deletion requests.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information only as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, and improve the Service and to protect players and the platform.
- Create and manage accounts and guest sessions.
- Authenticate users and maintain secure signed-in sessions.
- Run live presence, queueing, matchmaking, and authoritative multiplayer matches over WebSocket connections.
- Process gameplay inputs, synchronize match state, resolve results, and enforce reconnect and disconnect rules.
- Detect abuse, cheating, automation, security incidents, technical failures, and violations of our Terms and Conditions.
- Debug, monitor, and improve stability, balance, performance, and product features.
- Respond to player requests and maintain administrative records.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our contractual rights.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Browser Boxing uses cookies and similar storage technologies to keep you signed in, preserve session integrity, recognize returning users, and support core Service functionality.
Some cookies are strictly necessary for authentication, security, and multiplayer connectivity. Disabling those cookies may prevent the Service from functioning correctly.
5. WebSocket and Realtime Data
Because Browser Boxing is a realtime multiplayer game, the Service opens persistent WebSocket connections to exchange presence updates, queue events, gameplay inputs, match state, and service messages.
Information sent through those realtime systems may include your account or guest identifier, selected boxer, current status, network timing information, and gameplay actions. We process that data to operate matches, reduce abuse, and maintain fair play.
6. When We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information only in the limited circumstances below.
- With infrastructure, hosting, database, analytics, security, or support providers that process information on our behalf and under appropriate restrictions.
- With other players to the limited extent necessary to operate the game, such as displaying usernames, display names, queue presence, boxer selection, or match outcomes inside the Service.
- When required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request.
- When necessary to investigate fraud, cheating, abuse, security issues, or violations of our Terms and Conditions.
- As part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and meet legal obligations.
Guest session data, logs, and gameplay telemetry may be retained for shorter internal periods based on operational need. Account-related records may be retained longer where needed for fraud prevention, legal compliance, or legitimate business purposes.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights regarding access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of certain personal information.
Within the Service, registered users may be able to update profile details, change passwords, or request account deletion through available account settings. We may keep limited information when required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or recordkeeping.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the internet or method of storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
Browser Boxing is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the Service, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
11. International Use
If you access the Service from outside the country where our operations are based, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the date at the top of this page and take other steps that are reasonable under the circumstances. Your continued use of the Service after an update becomes effective means the updated Policy applies to your use going forward.
13. Contact
Questions or requests regarding this Privacy Policy should be sent through the contact method provided on the Service or the official Browser Boxing website.
